175th Anniversary Celebration during 2014

The McClellandtown Presbyterian Church was officially organized by Redstone Presbytery on November 23, 1839 here on Church Hill in McClellandtown, PA

You will find a listing of current events we have planned throughout 2014 to celebrate our anniversary.  Whether you live here or use to live here you are cordially invited to make plans and join us for any of these events.

175th Anniversary Celebration 

On Sunday, November 23, 2014, we had the last of several events to celebrate our 175th Anniversary.  We distributed hard print copies of our 175th Anniversary Church History.

Suggestions on How You Can Help Us with Our Celebration

Make plans to join us for one or more of the events listed above.
Share with us, your photos of past church events, such as,
  • Sunday School
  • Worship
  • Weddings conducted at the church
  • Baptism conducted at the church
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Church Picnics
  • Youth Programs
Historical Artifacts which you might be willing to let us photograph or borrow during our Anniversary Celebration.

Write and share your personal story and reflections on church events, activities, and membership.

Your written memories of former members and/or pastors who had an impact on your faith.

Names and addresses of individuals who no longer live in the area, we should invite your our celebration.

We would like to make digital versions of old photographs to enhance our ongoing church history by scanning your photos, copying or converting your videos to digital format. We simply ask you let us borrow your photos or videos for a few days and we will return your originals after we have scanned them or converted them to digital format. If you already have digital photos or videos you can e-mail them to Rev. McDermott or a church member listed below. We would be glad to give you digital versions of the photos you share with us, upon request.

Preserve your photos and memories in the ongoing history of the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church for future generations. Bring your ideas, stories and/or photos. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but have ideas to share, contact David Bork, Wendy Brown, Robin Carr, or Lois Vaccaro.  You can e-mail your stories, memories or digital photos and/or videos to the e-mail link at the top or bottom of the page.
